Antique cup with a saucer, Sorau
Porcelain factory in Sorau (Żary) was founded by Gustav Otremb in 1888. Gustav Otremba Porzellanfabrik Sorau N.L. started production in the buildings of the former nail factory. A year later, Franz Böhme joined the company. In 1892, Böhme bought Otremba's shares and became the sole owner of the company. In 1901 the factory was transformed into a limited liability company (Porzellanfabrik Sorau G.m.b.H.), and the new owner was Fritz, son of Franz.
