Antique gold négligée necklace with amethysts and pearls, circa 1900.

An antique necklace made of 14-karat yellow gold (0.585 fineness). The center section is adorned with three faceted amethysts and 16 pearls.

A négligée is a necklace with two parallel pendants suspended at different lengths, asymmetrically. This necklace came into fashion around 1900.

The necklace hangs on a delicate chain with a clasp that has likely been replaced.

Good condition, with minor signs of wear.
