BRONISŁAWA RYCHTER-JANOWSKA (1868 Krakow - 1953 Krakow)


The sister of the painter Stanisław Janowski. She studied painting in Munich, at the Florence Academy and in Rome. She was associated with the artistic milieu of Krakow. In 1932 she had a solo exhibition at the Zachęta Gallery in Warsaw. The artist's realistic painting is still very popular today, mainly due to the chosen themes - Polish manors and manors, the record of the interiors of noble houses, Polish churches and country cottages, landscapes and folklore scenes.
