Franz Friedrich Hoffmann-Fallersleben - German landscape painter and graphic artist. His father, poet and writer August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben, was, inter alia, author of "Songs of the Germans" - "Das Lied der Deutschen" (1841), the later German national anthem. Franz Friedrich began his painting studies in 1873 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf. After a year, however, he moved to the Weimar Academy, where he was a student of Theodor Hagen. From 1888 he lived in Berlin. In 1903 he was appointed professor. He traveled a lot in Germany, he also went to Denmark and Italy (1880/1881).
